Go to Plugins > Add New Plugin. Type Hustle in the search box. Install and activate it once it appears below.

Step 02: Go to Hustle Dashboard

After the plugin is installed, a menu named Hustle will be created on the admin bar. This will take you to the plugin’s dashboard. Under the Pou-ups section, click the +CREATE button.

Step 03: Create a Popup

Once you click the +CREATE button, as shown in the above step, a new window like the following screenshot will appear.

Give a name to the popup. Select a popup type. For example, we have selected the Email Opt-in type. Finally, click the CHOOSE TEMPLATE button.

Hustle offers 16+ readymade popup templates in its library. Hover your cursor on the template you like. Hovering will show up the CHOOSE TEMPLATE button. Click the button.

Note: If you want to build a brand new popup, select the Start from scratch option. But for the tutorial, we’ll go with a template.

Step 04: Customize the Template

After the template is selected, you have to customize it. You can change its title, message, discount percentage, and more.

For example, the Content section will let you change the popup title, images, and the main body content.

Similarly, you can see there are some more options. They are Emails, Integrations, Appearance, and Visibility. You can do the following things from these sections.

Emails – Customize Opt-in form fields, submission behavior, and automated email.

Integrations – Connect the plugin to specific applications and configure integration behavior.

Appearance – Change layout, customize elements, modify typography, optimize color, and configure custom CSS.

Visibility – Define conditions regarding when the popup will be displayed.

Behavior – Schedule the popup, set pop-up triggers, animation settings, closing method, closing behavior, and additional settings.

Go to Behavior. From the Pop-up Trigger section, toggle on the Exit Intent option.

Once all the customizations are done, click the Preview button.

You can preview the popup in desktop and mobile screen sizes. Check if everything is fine or if any further modification is needed. After that, close the popup.

Step 07: Publish the Popup

When your popup is ready to go and no further modification is needed, simply click the PUBLISH button on the top-right corner.

Go to the front end of your website. The popup will appear when you tend to close the page.

To check if the email has been properly submitted, go to the WordPress dashboard again.

Navigate to Hustle > Email Lists. Select the popup you created. Hit the SHOW EMAIL LIST button.
