ConvertForce vs OptinMonster
An OptinMonster alternative that lives inside WordPress.
No external dashboard. No impression caps. No per-site licence. Build popups, bars, and slide-ins with the block editor you already use, on as many sites as you run.
Why Switch
Six reasons WordPress owners leave the subscription.
Exit intent without the Pro tier
OptinMonster puts Exit Intent on its Pro plan, which renews at $870 per year. ConvertForce Pro includes Exit Intent, Scroll Depth, and User Inactivity for $39.50 per year.
No impression caps
OptinMonster meters campaign impressions by tier, from 2,500 a month on Basic to 100,000 on Growth. Exceed the cap and you move up a tier. ConvertForce does not count impressions at all.
Unlimited sites on one licence
OptinMonster tiers allow 1, 2, 3, or 5 sites. Agencies hit that ceiling fast. One ConvertForce Pro licence covers every site you run, with no per-site fee.
Everything stays in WordPress
OptinMonster is a hosted service. Campaigns live in its dashboard and load through a JavaScript embed. ConvertForce campaigns are WordPress content, built and stored in your own database.
A real free version
OptinMonster has no free plan, only a 14-day money-back guarantee after you pay for a year. ConvertForce is on WordPress.org with all three campaign types and no impression limit.
Built for the block editor
Design campaigns with the same Gutenberg blocks you use for posts and pages. No second builder, no separate template system, and about 11 KB added to your frontend.

OptinMonster pricing and tier features verified against optinmonster.com/pricing in July 2026 Prices shown are standard renewal rates; OptinMonster runs introductory first-year discounts, and its own pricing page states renewals are at full price. ConvertForce performance figures independently verified by WP Hive.
When OptinMonster is the better choice.
These are different products, and the comparison table above makes that clear. OptinMonster is a full lead-generation platform with a decade of development behind it. ConvertForce is a lightweight popup plugin for the block editor.
Choose OptinMonster if you run A/B tests on every campaign, need native integrations with Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot, or Shopify, want a large ready-made template library, or run popups on sites that are not WordPress. Those are real advantages and ConvertForce does not match them today.
Choose ConvertForce if you build in the block editor, run more than one WordPress site, do not want impression caps or a hosted dashboard, and would rather pay $39.50 a year than $210 or more. Email integrations are on our roadmap. Until then, you can embed any form block inside a ConvertForce campaign.
FAQ
Switching questions, answered honestly.
Is there a free alternative to OptinMonster?
Yes. ConvertForce is listed on WordPress.org at no cost and includes all three campaign types, the Time Delay trigger, display rules by URL, post type and device, plus unlimited campaigns, impressions, and sites. OptinMonster has no free plan; its lowest tier is billed annually with a 14-day money-back guarantee.
How much cheaper is ConvertForce than OptinMonster?
ConvertForce Pro is $39.50 per year for unlimited sites. OptinMonster Basic renews at $210 per year for one site, and exit intent requires the Pro plan at $870 per year. OptinMonster discounts the first year heavily, but its pricing page confirms renewals return to full price.
Can I move my OptinMonster campaigns to ConvertForce?
There is no automatic importer, because OptinMonster campaigns live on its servers rather than in your WordPress database. Rebuilding takes a few minutes per campaign since you design directly with blocks. Recreate the campaign, set its display rules and trigger, publish, then remove the OptinMonster embed script. +
Does ConvertForce integrate with Mailchimp or ConvertKit?
Not yet. Native email service integrations are planned for a future ConvertForce Pro release. Today you can embed any third-party form block inside a ConvertForce popup or slide-in to handle email capture. If deep native ESP integrations are essential right now, OptinMonster covers that far better.
What happens when I exceed OptinMonster’s impression limit?
OptinMonster states it will not switch your campaigns off; instead it automatically moves you to the next tier when you exceed your impression allowance. Your campaigns keep running, and your bill goes up. ConvertForce does not meter impressions, so growing traffic never changes what you pay.
Will ConvertForce slow down my site?
No. WP Hive’s independent testing places ConvertForce in the top 1% of WordPress plugins for memory efficiency. It adds about 11 KB to your frontend, creates zero database tables, and adds zero wp_options entries. OptinMonster loads an external script asynchronously, which it says does not block page rendering.
